Does not seen fair, does it?

Really big 'gossip' and 'rock' sites must have the top spots.
I did think the exact Keywords were supposed to (or at least should) take top #1 result.

    Good luck.

    Not fair but.....

A directory ranks higher than my site for my new site and the sitename isn't even generic.

Well one thing I remember is that I removed the DP ad network. Perhaps this is having an effect? All those links in Google that are no longer there?

Yeah well, 42 other things rank higher than me that aren't even related :p And my site is over a year old now...

You're in a bit of a sandbox, as your site (and backlinks) age you'll come out of it.

This is classic sandbox. It has lasted over a year for me before.

I guess jumping in and out of sandbox is normal as well?

Also Google Image search works fine on my site apparently :p

Yes I've seen sites jump in and out a handful of times.

    - First there was the sandbox and oh yeah it only lasts a couple months.
    - Now suddenly the sandbox can last a year.
    - And now it has somhow become possible to jump in and out of the sandbox...

SEO's trying to explain rankings in Google is like bible scholars trying to explain the bible. Neither one of them really know what they are talking about but they put on a darn good show. :D

lol, took the words right out of my mouth. 'Sandbox' just seems to be the new keyphrase for anything we don't understand. I think Google is dancing right now, or maybe your competitors have gained backlinks using that anchor text?

My site, Nearly Free Hosting, is on the third page for the same search, in quotations. Admittedly, my site is new to Google listings, and has zero backlinks in a search (makes no sense because I have two PR6 backlinks).
