I have 1 main site that I work on everyday by adding content, backlinks and other various SEO. It is www.tutorialparadise.com, this site has been up for 4 months now, and it still at a PR0, after all the backlinks I have added. I have even purchased some PR4 and 5 backlinks months ago in directories. I have 3 other sites however www.auslivetv.com, www.ratemywrx.net and www.ratemyv8.com which I have done no SEO or link building what so ever, and they are PR1. Why is it that they have a better PR when I have done all the SEO for tutorialparadise.com ?? Has Google penalized me for adding too many links? How will I ever know? This makes me angry, I should have at LEAST a PR1 by now.
link farming and purchased BLs is what gets your PR down. many link farmers have been penalized. for a real PR only generic BLs count. acoid strictly cheap directories that are setup for BLs only without true traffic. just keep on publishing a few years and happy customers/surfers will eventually create TRUE BLs! to uplift your PR the OTHER sites you have done NO (artificial) link inflation and thus got NO penalty. in addition to above: you have virtually ZERO traffic on your site. hence instead of worrying about PR - get SEO and traffic PR=for ego traffic=usefulness of site and thus for your bank account

Does this mean that I am penalized forever? Or do I just need to build better links naturally instead of purchasing, and eventually my PR will increase? Also tutorialparadise.com gets about 10 times more traffic than those other sites that have a PR1. If I had a better PR, it would be easier to gain traffic. The site gets about 500 uniques a day.
Why do you bother with an useless think like PR ? PR doesn't mean taffic or higher rankings Concentrate on traffic and rankings ....
How can there only be 7 backlinks! I have a network of sites which have backlinks pointing towards that site which aren't listed there in google. The domains with PR1 are 3 days older than tutorialparadise.com So you're saying a site with PR7 doesn't mean it will be higher ranked than a PR0 site with the same content? How am I meant to increase traffic without increasing PR anyway?
1. write topics where ppl / all world has a real NEED - i.e. with thousands of queries / day 2. SEO 3. work toward becoming an "authority" site that may take years but life is long in 5-10 yrs publishing in YOUR expert field and one day you are one
