Why is it that Google has no more than 20 OBL at any given time?

    Every counted the number of out bound links on Google.com's homepage? Check it out it's always a maximum of 20 links. Their page rank? 10.

    Just saying, I was once told that they always have less than 21 and it's for a special purpose can anybody attest to this and explain why?

    but i think google maintains that in a level useful to visitors and not cluttered.

    Google homepage's PR I think is not about how many inbound links or outbound links they have, but about the quality of services they give just like Facebook and Adobe..

    Well, Search Engines doesn't really need that many outbound links...
    They are meant for web search, not link to other sites...
