Why is it so hard to choose a domain name?

I need a good domain name for a small group. Some friends are basically pooling our resources to one site. He does some graphic work. I do some CMS and layoug work. Another guy does content writing. And so we search for a good name. I think everything is taken.

Use www.pcnames.com . They make it easier but the creativity is still up to you.

Did you consider other extension like .info or .org?

I don't think it is that hard, the main thing is to pick a name and go with it. You shouldn't spend to much of your time worrying about it because it really doesn't matter that much. You should focus on building quality content instead.

    Good luck with your site!

I disagree and think it does matter. Your name is your image - your brand. it should not be taken lightly.

I always pick up my thesaurus and use every word combination until I find an available name that fits the image of my company/site. It is very important, so don't settle until you find the right domain.

If it's a .com being discussed here, then yes it's tough finding the one you do
want. We live in 2007, not 1994.

But do you have options? Why, of course you do.

Sure it's easier getting frustrated. But is that going to help you get what you
    want?

Psychicwhois, huh? I'll be darned if the people running it are indeed psychic. :D
