I'm involved with advertising so I do a lot of writing. What works for me are simple tools like spell check.I also have 3 pocket dictionaries just next to my laptop.I do my work in 3 different languages as we have clients around the world. What has always worked for me is to write from the heart and try and be original. Also a trick is to read the philosophers,no one can write like they do.You will learn a lot about writing styles from these giants of literature.
Good luck to you my friend.:)

Just like the SpoiltDiva here, I write for a living. All this time though, I realize that writing is not only a profession, it is a commitment to endless learning. There is no such thing as the verge/edge of a writer's learning. Most of the times, we have to cultivate it. Our love for writing is a great thing to start with. Do not lose heart. Whenever, I find myself lost and frustrated over my own writing, I get back on track, see the areas I should improve. There had been notes and rejections, criticisms and all that but we have to learn from it so we can write better.

I will always believe that a writer will never lose a living especially when the person loves what s/he does. Viral marketing strategies both in print and in the internet hail "content as king." So we are all in this.

I wish you all the best. :)

I find that the more you read, the better writer you become.

My best suggestion would be to write in your native language.

The very first part of your post isn't even proper grammar, it doesn't actually make sense in English. Looking at your post, I'll highlight things in red that aren't grammatically correct.

That of course does not take into the quality if your writing, only the part that isn't correct (spelling, capitalisation, punctuation, grammar, etc.) No one wants to read stuff that isn't written properly, and certainly no one wants to pay you to write stuff that isn't even grammatically correct. You should not be Googling how to become a good writer, you should be Googling how to learn to write English first.

Content is my number one pain point the problem we have is we need technical content so we have to write it internally. I would suggest you just write web content yourself then have some do a web copy for you.

Dang. You beat me to it. The only thing my autogrammar script picked up that you didn't was implied lack of commas.

I think the roiginal content is written by your new finding, not copy and rewrite. It is better to visit the new place and meet the new people to get the new experience in the life.

If you want to write, you need to understand that writing is using the correct word for each sentence.

Read that again: the correct word; not the fancy word, the silly word, the funny word, or other. The reader must understand what you wanted to express. If he doesn't most likely you didn't write well enough.

You have the advantage of writing in English. Spanish is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more difficult.

That is so true. I would go one step further and say if you want to become a really good writer you have to understand the market you are writing for well. If you don't understand your audience it will be difficult connecting with them.

I thought Spanish was similar to Italian, but that just looks like gibberish to me.

I don't speak Spanish but that doesn't look right to me. Should that second "en" be "es"? :)

But good enough that I know you are saying, "Yes, working in Spanish is very hard"

Either you are showing off with your vocabulary again or mine is very limited LOL. Pouting... WTF? :)

I am not holding any grudges, just having a laugh, which is exactly what I also did when you first said that silly comment. You even remembered saying primitive when I never mentioned it, so who is focusing on it too much? It must be one of your common cheeky lines :p
