So whats the use in having a daily budget if it is just going to go over it?

That is what happend to me today......I set a $5 dollar daily budget and it is slowly creeping higher and higher currently almost to $6

    Anyone know what gives?

I also paused it at $5.20 and it is still going :)

From what I remember, Google does a 30 day average ... it tries to make sure over the 30 day period that you don't average more than your limit.

Scott yep you are right...that is exactly what it does.......I talked to them in chat :) before I read the links that GuyFromChicago posted....one of which just so happens to be the links google support points you too as well.

It make sense now that I know.....I thought it was just going haywire at first.

Plus, in the unlikely event that your clicks do go over your limit on a 30 day spend, Google will not charge you for this.

That reminds me of an almost tragic mistake I made this weekend.

I was trying to pull down my daily budget from $300 to $200 per day....saved, logged out. Went and did other things, had dinner...checked stats later that evening and noticed my daily budget was set to $20,000 per day.

After reviving from my fainting spell, I quickly made the adjustment.

Luckily, the few hours it was in there didn't cause a budgetary crisis.
