Why is it always Science v. Religion?

    Such a dichotomy is rather manufactured when claims of religious beliefs sound outside the scientific realm. If one follows Stephen Jay Gould's NOMA, there will be no conflict. However, religious beliefs imply an existence claim. It takes the true religion to be compatible with the material world and the moral world. Islam fits that pretty well in my opinion.

    I feel it is wrong to assume that something doesn't exist or some concept is wrong merely because it hasn't been scientifically proved.

    Well, that's great for you Naughty. But, some of us think it's a little childish to have invisible friends that can supposedly hear everything you think, everyone everyone thinks. The invisible friend that supposedly stays out of our lives, but, then turns around and answers people's prayers by healing a sick or injured family member or friend.

    God & science works 100% for me.

    Now assuming 'religion', means one must follow that man-written book (the bible, koran etc.) literally, then religion & science are totally incompatable to me.
