[I can't seem to pick a different sub-forum for this post. I'd appreciate it if somebody could move this topic to the appropriate category, probably the Search Engines » Google category] Of Google, Yahoo, and MSN - 99.04% of my traffic comes from Google SE results. My site is almost 2 years old. On Google, my site has over 500,000 indexed pages. I got over 18,000 google visitors today. Yahoo has 319,000 pages indexed. My results are seldom on first page of Yahoo's SE results. I usually see somewhere between 50 and 100 visitors per day from Yahoo. MSN has only 332 pages indexed. MSN search never really sends more than 5 visitors per day. What might improve the ranking of my results specifically on the Yahoo SE? What best explains the lack of MSN pages being indexed?
umm you got a big site, because most of ppls using google as their search engine i got this problem too
Bigger is better, eh? I calculate over a million pages of content. Most of the pages (by volume) are stored in my cached table for up to a month - which has about 240,000 pages. The remaining pages are created as they get called.
You're not saying that since I have "Windows" in the domain name --- MSN puts my site at a super-low indexing priority or simply is filtering out most of the pages for results? Naaaaaaa.... I seriously doubt that the domain name would hurt me in the MSN SE. It's probably even common to see some results that even include the letters "msn" as part of the domain name on MSN SE's results.
