I thought the Google dance would end with the PR update, but it's not over yet. One of my sites that I have been tracking closely is still at it. I'm trying to find a pattern and noticed that my site has been changing positions with another site... back and forth. Is this a permanent thing?
My two websites drop from PR4 to PR2 today?!?!?!?! What is going on people?????What to do?Please help!
rappin: don't hijack threads. If you have a separate question, make your own thread for it. You obviously didn't bother reading the dozen other PR update threads on this forum from this last week. mcmuney: it sounds like you might just be getting different results from different Google data centers. When rankings update, it can take some time for those rankings to update on all data centers. To get more stable rankings, you need to work at building a stronger link profile. A website with a strong link profile usually experiences much less ranking fluctuations.
Hmm. How long does it normally take for all data centers to be updated? My site is now changing positions more aggressively, anywhere between #5 to #12.
I've been noticing over the past week that my site has been varying in position in the google serps. My PR remains the same and I'm recieving about the same amount of traffic but the serps have been changing. I'm not sure how long it is going to last but I can only hope that it is soon.
MY serps still are way down on many keywords for established sites since March 31st. I think either the google dance is not over or google radically changed their algorithm. Cause it can't be penalization cause some keywords on the site actually got a boost, while others dissapeared or went many pages back.
If you referring to google dance as thing which change your position on google, that's happening all the time. For example my position for one major keyword changes almost on daily bases.I been from position 3 to position 190.
