Thanks for listening. I own an online travel agency that does Disney only, hence the mouseketrips name. I have targeted a few keywords that are relevant to what we do, and get a decent number of searches per month.

So, in both MSN and Yahoo. we rank in the top three for all of the keywords, but in Google, we don't appear anywhere. For example, Disney World Vacation.

    Overture searches: 91368
    MSN Ranking: #3
    Yahoo Ranking: #2
    Google Ranking: #99

It is not like our site is new, we have been in business over 3 years. Our pagerank is decent, PR5 and should be PR6 next update.

    Any suggestions?

WEll i think that the recent Google update of Bigdaddy has made it even harder. For some reason They have tripled the amount of results per keyword. Maybe this is just temporary till Bigdaddy settles down, or they really increased their database, hence the name Bigdaddy, to include more sites, which are flooding the system! :(. Where did they find all these websites? Who knows.
But my ranking in some keywords fell On february 1st or something. I have never changed anything in my SEO, and always been adding things, and suddenly my ranking in some keywords went from Page 1 to page 50. (result #504 or something)

I think you should just keep adding content, or information and doing some minor adjustments, and perhaps google will rank you high again. Don't try to over-optimize, or you'll end up dumped.

Thanks for the reply. I have to say that some of my keywords have always faired poorly in Google. I have one that is #2, but it gets very low searches per month, so it isn't a huge deal. I will see what I can do with the site, maybe that will help.

I'm not an expert on Google, but when I looked at your site just briefly, I wondered how often you update. If I was reading correctly, the last blog entry was August 2005. Of course you might have other new content...

And this is just one aspect.

    Another thing...

Do you check only for the keywords in your meta tags, or for the actual traffic generated by google, using other words or phrases on your pages? Although my own pages rank low for the keywords in the meta tags, other words and phrases draw in good Google traffic.

    Just some ideas.

P.S. I like your domain name.

You are looking at the wrong site, I believe. I think the blog you are looking at is just a thing I set up and forgot about. The site I am worried about is:

    Mouseketrips

    Thanks for looking.

We update a couple of times a month, and keep our WDW information as up to date as possible. We have considered adding some travel articles we have written to the site as well.

    Thanks!

I think google is looking mostly for organic sites and linkage patterns. An example of this would be academic or educational content pages. They want to eschew any hints of marketing pages.
