Why is Google does not recognize the Backward Link on some site?

Hello,
I know some sites that has many backward links through forums, blogs, comments and I see them on Yahoo Explorer, but Google will not recognize them and if does will know one or two links.

I usually check through Google Toolbar, go to PR, and choose Backward Links.

What is need to be done?

P.s: the Google sitemap is Ok and verified.

What is a backward link?? Do you mean a one way backlink?

Google knows about that link but takes time to update in the webmaster tool or they just do not want to show. Yahoo Siteexplorer is accurate in this case.

 

Google doesn't always update it's public indexes immediately i.e in the case of page rank it can take every 3 months. However this doesn't mean that it hasn't seen and recognised your link

according to Him they are not showing the backinks for your sake only.
Anyone can spy your links and can get the links from that places.
So,go to webmaster tools and see the exact links which they have find linking to your website.

yahoo site explorer find more than 1900 backlinks to my site ,but goole only find 40 ( use link:domain check)
