Why is Google deindexing my web pages?

The site is less than a month old, it had 70% pages indexed in Google a week ago. Yesterday, there are 60% indexed pages, but now only 50% of the pages are indexed..

It's checked by using "site:mydomain" command and validated in my Google Webmaster Tool account.

    Is it normal?

It can also be a sandbox.

There can also be things like: You have some backlinks to some of your pages. And the site will disappear in google if the backlinks no longer exists. I have tested this before for some new websites. You can find a site using site:domain.com when there are a few backlinks from some high PR sites. And it will disappear the other day when I remove all the backlinks.

Yes, I had submitted sitemap to Google.

Does Google deindex web pages of sandboxed sites like mine?

Right now, it has about 200 backlinks from 3-5 websites, those are all from dofollow blog comments, forum signatures and social bookmarking profiles.

What is the URL to this website? My first guess would be that your internal linking structure is weak and your internal web pages do not have their own backlinks point to them.

    How old is your site?

The internal linking structure is okay. I don't think Google has any problems finding these web pages.

So far it seems Google has stopped indexing my pages and started deindexing them :(

It's not my first website, I never had such problem in the past.

Sorry to bring up this thread from dead but I'm experiencing the same problem right now.
During the last 3 days, more of 70% of pages were deindexed from google and it's getting worse and worse everyday.

    What's going on with google?

I went through the same issue with my last 2 websites. I think they call it the Google Dance. Give it a couple of days. The pages will be reindexed. If Google didn't like your site, all of your pages would disappear. Just don't be surprised when your pages are much farther back than they were before disappearing. Keep building your backlinks or whatever it is your working on so you don't lose time.

Create xml site map of your website and submit in google and also do social bookmarking of all the pages, specially with Google, stumbleupon and digg

Thanks to all of you for reassuring me.
I've almost stopped working on the affected site as the pages keep disappearing from the index although they are completely unique.

Following are the possible causes why Google deindex webpages:
    Duplicate content within the site
    Google Penalty
    Google consider those pages untrusted
    Server problem

The other reason might be that you might have linked to bad neighborhood.

Ya it happens....It is not necessary that all the pages are indexed in the SE...Generally those pages are indexed which points towards that page when we do link building...

A site gets deindexed for two basic reasons:

    1. It has no value to visitors.
    2. It has no value to Google.

    How does it get de-indexed?

    1. A human editor
    2. Google algorithms

You can request "re-inclusion" Request reconsideration of your site although it seems to be for the entire website, and not a specific page.

Yes it is very normal. You have to be active on promoting your site all the time to keep it in the loop. Make sure you have a tool to track and monitor all your seo stats automatically. Check out seo cockpit, it gives you all the information you need for your keyword ranking, backlinks checker, pages indexed, and spider visits. It's an all in one seo tool.
