Why is Google Analytics not real-time like Statcounter?

Even though its very detailed and I really like it, it would be great if it were made real-time even if they charged a fairly small monthly subscription.

 

Indeed, not only Google analytics is slow - but so are its webmaster tools. I think it is because huge massives of iniformation they have to deal with...

 

Yes would be awesome. I think they'd need many more servers if they'd get it real-time.

 

I don't know about real-time on google, but you can actually check up on todays information if you want. All you have to do is change the calendar to todays date.

Yes, it's because of the huge amount they must take care off....

I mean.. it's GOOGLE so yeah.. but it's good like it is now too in my eyes...

google has huge customer base covering many nations .. thats why its products are very slow

 

Google is all about server speed. If they offer real time stats, this would slow their server down. You can however, change the date to today's date and they do update every hour or so.

You certainly are wrong , visit your own site and check Google Analytics. Most likely, you won't show up in the stats instantly.

If you just change the date to todays date only you can see the stats of the day, I am not sure if it is live but it is very close to it.

aye, me too, i don't generally check untill the following day, because its nice to see a higher figure! haha! most of my traffic comes throughout the night anyways...

 

for this slow, my backlinks has not updated for 1 month.

 

Google hides a lot of back links from its serps. However, you can see your actual backlinks with google's webmaster tools.

I have over 1800, but the serps only shows 5

 

I observe in favor of my identity with the intention of analytic is extremely good quality in support of me.

 

Hey guys, i just thought I'll let you know there is this awesome opensource stats tool that you can use together with G Analytics it's called Piwik and the results are live, I love it I use it on my sites.
