LOL I frequently sell websites, and sometimes it can be a frustrating process as people frequently waste my time when I *pre-quote* the price beforehand. My sites are quality, they have good ranking and traffic yet when I quote a price for $80 why do people suddenly lose interest? Is DP full of cheap-skates? Do they expect something for nothing? $80 is not alot to ask for a site with traffic and rankings. jeez.
So you thought you'd call people on here cheapskates just cause you can't sell anything? Go to another place to sell sites then, it's pretty simple. People shouldn't waste time with threads like this.
I don't expect you will be doing a lot of business with that attitude. Next time, just go ahead and hit your thumb with a hammer. Hard. It will feel good when it quits hurting.
Well for one their are'nt alot of alternatives besides sitepoint, and thats not free like DP. I understand people want to save money, but don't *contact* for more info after I have quoted the price beforehand unless you are serious. I hate when people just waste my time thinking they can get something for under-value. $80 is not alot to ask for what I offer.

If you already know the price of the product. Don't waste my time asking for more info knowing you wont buy it. Seriously. Its not a "bad attitude" just good business ettique and procedure.

Nobody gives a hoot if your site is “qualityâ€, many quality sites and products passes through here everyday for very bargained prices. There are loads of other places to sell sites...:/ You just need to get used to people like that, who contact you trying to get the price down, you'll get it anywhere unless it's a fixed price sale site. Just ignore them. Starting a thread getting annoyed about it like this won't do anything about it.
You’re seriously confused, you get the assumption your stuff is worth so much money to the point we’re all cheapskates, no wonder you got no sales, I see two deals, I buy the cheaper one (I’m exampling), that’s basic business for you. When verbally insulting potential customers, you’ve lost an opportunity, bye-bye.
I'm just keeping it real. I'm not trying to be mean or make it seem like I hate this place. I love these forums, this community is helpful and i actually made some good sales. Its just there should be some sort of rule against people who already know the deal but choose to waste a sellers time anyway. Thats all. BTW I was'nt trying to pass it off as a joke, its a serious topic. But its still funny.
I was'nt verbally insulting anyone. I just noticed a general trend and decided to ask why. It should'nt effect my business one way or the other because when it comes down to it, if I'm selling a no maintenance, site making $50 a day, most people could care less about the personal opinions of the seller, they want to buy before someone else does.
You might need to brush up on your sales threads and how they're structured and written. If you need any help, contact me, and I'll give you a few pointers.
simple question: is your site really worth it? is your proof real? (faking stats for adsense and any site is very easy) or were you able to answer buyer's question when buyer is in "need to buy now, sending cash now" moments? or delayed? there are many more factors behind why a person would walk away a price. I have bought $1000 worth sites (well only 2) off DP and most time I check few sites asking for $200 or some good $ but failed to answer me on time
you're talking about a place where people buy scripts and then resell them when they are not even supposed to resell them and or maybe they didn't try to even buy the scripts in the first place....basically I am not surprised...but good luck just the same.
Keep building good sites I am sure they will sell, people here have experiences from dealing with so many sellers, they know what they are looking for. I am sure top prices will be paid for top quality web sites.
