Those that live in the United States of America were told Al Qaeda was responsible for the attacks on 9/11. Why then are not the majority of our forces seeking out those Al Qaeda? How is it our troops are giving their lives everyday in a country that had nothing to do with the attacks on 9/11? It certainly could not be that Iraq is sitting on top of the second largest oil reserve in the world. Certainly not. http://www.globalpolicy.org/security/oil/irqindx.htm To make things more interesting, do some research on how Al Qaeda came to be.
I'm not going to bother commenting on the content on that link....but I couldn't agree more with the title....Why is everything about Iraq and not Al Qaeda? Yup. since 9/11 we attacked Afghanistan....probably cornered Al-Queda, didn't finish off the leadership within Afghanistan, allowed them to escape into Pakistan where over a series of years they have been allowed to regenerate, gain strength, secure some level of security in that remote section of Afghanistan, launch attacks back into Afghanistan and potentially develop, coordinate, encourage terrorism around the world. Meanwhile the leader of Pakistan is on pins and needles from a variety of sources. The risks there include a possible overthrow of the nation with terrorist or fundamentalist takeover with an already existing nuclear arsenal while in their remote section of Pakistan Al-Queda is relatively untouchable. Talk about jumping from the frying pan into the fire!!!!!!!!! How fooked up is that!!!!!
Exactly! By having our troops bogged down in Iraq, instead of dealing with the real threat, we're actually hurting our national defense capabilities... Decreased military readiness is one of my top five reasons why the Iraq conflict has made us less safe...
