I just started promoting my products with clickbank and my sales have gone up. I offer 35% commission and they are taking more than that from my earnings. Also none of the sales made so far have been made by clickbank affiliates. Does that mean they will take 35% plus whatever thay are taking now if on of their affiliates make the sale? I am very confused.
I believe it's 35% + 7.5% + $1.50 per transaction, but that would be when an affiliate gets a commission. That's dependent on an affiliate referral. Have you tried contacting them? ...may or may not be a good idea. ??
see the first question in the publisher faq: https://www.clickbank.com/publisher_faq.html For most transactions, ClickBank purchases the product from the publisher at a wholesale price equal to 92.5% of retail, less a $1 stocking charge. For example: If ClickBank sells your product for $50 to the customer, you would get $50 x .925 - $1 = $45.25.
I believe that they charge a higher percentage than other credit card processors because they don't have any monthly fees. If an affiliate did not send the customer then you won't get charged 35%. You get $3.58 mainly because they do charge $1 plus the percentage. On a higher priced product the $1 doesn't affect that much.
