Why is bing taking forever to index?

It's been a month that i've submitted my sitemap to bing webmaster tools and they've only indexed 21 pages out of 272. Google crawled and found my site by themselves and every new page that I create is there in google in a day or two. But bing had absolutely no clue about my new website. Yandex can find me but Bing can't.

I'm not gonna say HOW can bing compete with Google, my question is WHY do they wanna compete?

    Hi.
It is good if Google is indexing your pages and adding them in page rank list. Most of the traffic comes from Google only. If Google is increasing the traffic of your site then automatically in Yahoo and bing you will also get the good results.

Bing has said they are more selective about which pages they index from a sitemap, so that could be one of the factors. Are all of the pages in your sitemap quality pages?

First, check your robots.txt file if it accidently blocking the bing crawler for some pages.

Do submit a Sitemap to the bing webmaster... If you have done this before, ping the search engine.

It is believed that bing takes time to show indexed pages in the search results, I would advise you to be a bit patient... may be, with time it indexes your whole website.
