Why is Bing Ignoring My Site?

Google somehow managed to index my new website without a single backlink. Meanwhile it's been a few weeks, and I've even signed up for Bing Webmaster Tools, but I can't force Bing to find squat

I don't even really like Bing but it's a significant piece of the pie. I've got no robots.txt file or anything to block crawlers. What gives?

I have had similar issues with Bing. We have a number of sites, some with pretty high PR with Google, but those same sites rank almost nowehere on Bing. Submitted Sitemap, decent content and site has been around for a while. Anybody else have a similar experience or possible solutions?

However, the most important is you rank good in Google.

Yeah I'm more concerned with Google overall; Bing just reeks of 2nd rate. Wish I had some demographic information on who actually uses it though. If it's all senior citizens who don't know how to change their default search engine, then maybe I don't care. I guess I'll try and submit a help ticket or something.

Me too, I'm having similar issues... I thought, perhaps getting listed in the Yahoo directory might help... maybe not, but there's a slight possibility, since the two firms are working together on search...

Google is more important as 80% of the users using google to search things.

Perhaps, you need to give it more time for Bing to index your site. Their indexing process may be slower than other search engines. Or, you have to submit it again on Bing, just in case you have missed something when you did it...
