    Um, because you used a list item and didn't remove the list marker? ul {list-style: none;}

    That use of li is not valid, it must reside in a ul or ol container.

    cheers,

    The list items in the unordered lists are the little bullet images (like the list of recent posts, categories) but I didn't put the gallery as a list, unless the widget is doing it automatically, then I'm not sure how to stop it?

    I have a php file for the sidebar, the gallery is the only "widget" (dynamic sidebar) so sidebar.php is just calling the widget:

    <?php if ( function_exists('dynamic_sidebar') && dynamic_sidebar(1) ) : else : ?>
    <?php endif; ?>
    Code (markup):
    This is the actual code for the gallery:

    <?php

    Is this widget being called from your sidebar.php file by any chance? (Gary, he's using WordPress - 99% of all WordPress Themes are NOT written with real XHTML semantics in mind.)

    Regardless of the crappiness of the mid-tier code, the OP will still need to either change the output to something more properly structured and semantic than the single, unadorned <li> , or he will have to cause it to add a hook (class or id) so that a style set can change the presentation, eg. make the li {display: block;} or li {list-style: none;}.

    I pointed out the offending html, it's up to the OP to dig into the PHP source to apply a fix, or have someone familiar with WP to do it for him.

    cheers,

    gary

    It is, well sidebar.php isn't calling that specific widget it's just calling all widgets, and that's the only widget I'm using.

    What does your sidebar.php file look like? As well as the areas of code on your other template files that surround the sidebar.php call?
