So, here's the deal: My rates are going up... considerably. As in a 400% price increase. My new rate: $3.50 per 100 words. There are, of course, very specific reasons for the skyrocketing pricing. Here are a few: 1. I have added services I'm giving away for free... and one can't be advertised here on DP. The other is a free manual directory submission service, for those clients that would find value in this. 2. The "content factory" approach you find here on DP isn't my cup of tea, and is far less effective for you as a web master. If your looking to get page 1 SERP results for your keywords, you simply NEED great content. It's just not viable to get this below a certain price point. 3. I'm intentionally disqualifying the majority for the chance to engage with the minority. Not many marketers on DP know the value of killer content, or how to capitalize/monetize. I'm only interested in working with those that know how to monetize, know their market's metrics, and are in markets that warrant high quality content. If this service sounds intriguing, drop me a PM with any questions you may have. I'll do my best to answer them. Take care, John G.
It's great to see you do not undervalue your services, but unfortunately a big play of words will be lost on this community. You might be lucky and find one or two people who would take you up on your offer, but from your introduction, I doubt you can offer anything extroardinary that justify the price tag. There are jobs that pay $10-$15 per article and I have personally done this in my spare time for the last 6 months. The problem is finding the people/website that will pay you what you need. If you are good in writing, then simply take what you know and do something creative with it. I will tell you first hand that there are hardly any good 'article writers' on this forum. They are okay for what they can deliver, but when I look for someone that delivers content that is beyond specification and imagination, then it will be hard. I personally have delivered only 'okay' content, not because that is the limit of my ability, but because it isn't worth my time to deliver exceptional content for $5 or below. I have tested the waters on DP and hired writers that has charged me $6-$9 for an article and their stuff is no better than someone who writes an article for $3, so in conclusion find your wings and move on to the real world. DP is great for beginners, but if you get stuck in this place you will never find the time fly to the best places in the world and experience life at its best.
Sarah - Thanks for the comment... however, my point of view differs slightly from your own. In regards to finding clients here on DP, that hasn't been much of a problem. Now that more folks are seeing the quality of my writing, word is getting around and new clients are contacting me via PM. However, my client list isn't quite full yet so I threw this up to (hopefully) round my client list out. Of course, I'm not the writer for everybody. I never planned to be, and wouldn't wish that fate on my worst enemy. I'd rather round out my group of clients with those that meet the specifications above. Then, I can keep busy making them money, instead of having to weed through one article clients every couple of weeks. Bottom line is this: I've purchased content here in the past. It sucked. I've also written for my own websites as well as a few clients. It's much (MUCH) better. For those that want premium content that folks will actually enjoy reading, then I'm your guy. If you're OK with articles that read like a drunken monkey wrote them... one of the warehouse writers here will be a better fit. Oh, and about your doubts about my ability to deliver anything "extraordinary"... take me up on a project one of these days. I'm fairly certain I may just change your generalization regarding DP writers. Take care, John G.
John has just done a couple of articles for me and I can honestly say that his articles are sooooooo worth the money. Well researched and with an engaging writing style. His customer service is very good too . I can also say that in my (maybe limited) experience sub $3 articles aren't worth the time you spend commissioning them! I got a PM the other day from someone offering "$2 per 500 word unique, original and cs passed article" so I thought I'd give it a try for a quick article marketing blast. I asked for 2 articles to see the quality. Here's the first line of one article: The import is defined as the introduction of goods of foreign origin or FTZ national customs territory. And the other: Before describing the problem or situation is needed to find a small introduction is structured as an SME. WTF?! I should have guessed. Any copywriter who has to mention Copyscape in their marketing spiel probably isn't producing original content.
Hey DPers - Been some time since we last spoke. A concerned Internet marketer might ask, "Why Johnny, where in the world have you been?" I'll pretend you're that concerned soul and answer: Good question! Well, between working on my first "real" book proposal, learning how to speak Spanish, and continuing my round-the-world voyage I have been... ABSOLUTELY SWAMPED IN WRITING PROJECTS. In fact, I haven't taken on new clients since luckyNumber posted his very kind review above. I'm still very busy, but the fact is I'M BORED. My current clients only need content on a limited number of topics. That's all fine and dandy, but when you're a writer with ADD then you need fresh topics every once in a while. Which is why I'm writing this post today. I WANT A COUPLE OF NEW CLIENTS. Here's what I'm looking for: - An interesting project is preferred. You can define the word "interesting" as you please - Somebody that's worked with discount writers before. This way, you already know the value of a quality writer - I prefer writing sales-oriented copy (in any part of the funnel) butt this isn't a firm requirement Here's what I can do for you: - Ebooks, especially those geared to be the top of a sales funnel - Any kind of sales copy (if you're curious, there's a secret reason my copy moves more product than anybody on the board. Ask me for details.) - General articles/blog posts. Please, no boring topics. - Email autoresponders - Telesales scripts - Just about anything in between SPECIAL DEAL FOR NEW CLIENTS To get some orders through the door, I'll be offering new clients a mind numbing price of $0.02/word on the first order. So, not only do you get the best content you're going to find on an IM forum... you're going to get it at a stupidly low price. If that doesn't whet your greed glands, I don't know what will. But this rate won't last. I do still have bills to pay. So, if you have the slightest tingling of interest, I would suggest you drop me a private message. Now. :c) To your success, JohnG
