Yeah, it's fast. It's also fast at gathering data on all of your activities. Don't be a fool folks! G doesn't need more power!

    glenndorsey,
That is not true at all. Chrome collects no data from you as you surf the web. Whoever told you this is seriously misinformed. Google Matt Cutt's blog for the truth.

The support of Java and the implementation of JS 8 will put Chrome on the charts incredibly fast. Check the benchmark figures for Google Chrome, Firefox & IE:

Chrome is already better than Opera IMO, and if it gets extensions it will be better than Firefox. (And it probably will get them since its open source and is built on Mozilla 5.0)

The only bug I've come across so far is stuttery Flash video. The only serious flaw identified so far is because of the Webkit version Chrome is using and will get patched soon.

The EULA has already been changed, you can read about it here.

    Chrome's Features:

    - Separate tabs are separate processes. If one tab crashes it only kills the tab, not the browser.
    - Javascript V8 engine that uses a compiler instead of an interpreter.. it has the fastest Javascript of any browser.
    - Incognito Mode, a la IE 8 beta, means that nothing you see is saved or cached. Porn viewing ftw.
    - Speed Dial, like Opera, appears when you open a new tab, displays your most viewed sites, recently closed tabs, and bookmarks.
    - Dynamic tabs. Due to the separate processes, you can rip tabs off your task bar into a new window, and then put it back.
    - Google Gears is implemented. It isn't useful just yet, but will be in the future.
    - Fast Web Rendering
    - Right click anything then click Inspect Element. It has a built in developer tool, like Firebug.
    - Use web apps without opening your browser. Application shortcuts can directly load your favorite online apps.
    - Google Chrome warns you if you're about to visit a suspected phishing, malware or otherwise unsafe website.
    - Instant bookmarks.. much faster than Firefox's bookmarking system.
    - Awesomebar-like URL bar, with integrated Google Search (you can change what search engine it uses)

So it isn't featureless, and it combines some of the best elements from other browsers. By default its better than Firefox IMO. With Adblock plus.. it'd be the best. And its the first version XD.

I was using it yesterday, its too buggy. Im going to wait for the proper release. The beta is too betaish for a release in my opinion.

I've tried it and I'm not that impressed.... Maybe I'll reconsider it after it gets some of the extensions Firefox has...

Eh mine is buggy as hell, for example i can't surf any forums because it will not let me type inside the comment box. Annoying as hell, when i use it and i try posting i have to switch to firefox. Plus firefox has sweet addons like this toolbar, http://mp3an.ourtoolbar.com/ which i have been using for 2 weeks straight to listen to the radio when i work.
Thats the little things i miss when i use chrome and always have to switch up back to firefox

I'll stick with the v2.0 rule.

FireFox is too cool, and I need my add-ons.

Still have to try this out but I've not heard anything really bad about it which makes a change in the browser sector.
