I don't think that being a customer of yahoo affects your ranking. The reason I say this is because I was hosting with them for about one year and and my sites we not performing too well on their search engines. I then hosted with someone else and then out of nowhere I was getting top 10 positions within my very competitive keywords. I'm not sure if this was a coincidence or just good optimization on my part. Anyhow my point is that I don't think your purchase webhosting from them affects your rankings.
If Yahoo web hosting lets you on the top of Yahoo search then all the webmaster's would try the same thing. It's not based on hosting alone, there are many parameters accountable for the top 10 search engine listing.
Well ) it doesn't matter ur site is on the top just because u've yahoo web hosting. Possible ways are ur site rank/content and quality traffic by several high class search engines. Till yet i've never submited any of my site to any search engine but im serious about making ma rank.
I doubt Yahoo would rank any site high just because it's hosted with them. That would just be too risky from a public image standpoint. I set up a free GeoCities account a few months ago just to play around. I was impressed with the quality of their Help pages, which are better written and more knowledgable than the ones at many web hosts, and thought the interfaces for various things were good. I don't think the free accounts have cpanel, anyway, but I wasn't aware that the paid ones don't have it, either. Can that be true? They must have something equivalent. Seemed to me they looked pretty good overall, and I was surprised that they don't promote their web hosting services more aggressively. Their paid hosting is expensive, though, compared to others. The various times I've communicated with Yahoo (not necessarily hosting support), I've been impressed by the knowledge and communication skills of their support staff. At some hosts, you don't always wind up communicating with someone who knows what they're talking about.
A long time ago, my first website was with Yahoo. You think telemarketers and spam emails are bad. Just wait until you cancel your service with Yahoo. Them guys dont give much support when you are with them, but they do everything they can to get you back
