I have a serious love/hate relationship with forums. In truth I feel like IM forums (and other forums for that matter) are the ultimate resource for getting help and advice bar none. Blogs don't even come close. The only thing is that I get caught up in them and end up dumping a LOT of time here and other places. On the other hand, I find things that I would never have found...and find them FAST by being here a lot. Of course, on the other hand, I see that many goals I have for building sites don't get achieved because I don't spend enough time on them (and they always take longer to build than expected)... and I find myself blaming my forum involvement. Anyone else singing the same tune?
Join the club. Most forums suck. This one is cool, but the majority are a lot of hot air and cliques. Better than Twitter though... Now there is a waste of 140 characters for sure.
