I am about to write an ebook about stories of failure. And I am looking for people who have failed at Internet marketing. The ebook won't be anything about success, it will be all about failure and why you think you failed. It will be your story. Are you interested in writing apx 10-pages and be contributing to the ebook? The ebook will be given away for free, and by contributing you will be promoting yourself... you will be able to put links to your blog or to your affiliate program(s) in "your chapter". The reason I am writing about failure is that I believe that when you understand why people fail, you understand what you shouldn't be doing, and from stories of failuare you understand why people become successful. I would really appreciate it if you can give me some feedback. First, do you think that the topic of the ebook is something you find interesting and would like to read about? Second, would you like to contribute? Thanks Jens P. Berget
Thanks. I am not sure if I only should ask people who have failed and still are failing at Internet Marketing or if I should ask people to contribute with their stories if they failed earlier, but are successful today. I am still only going to write about their failure and what they did to fail. What do you think? - Jens
I have failed with internet marketing. What I have learned is that there are no shortcuts and those who work hard will get rewarded. There is no tool that can get you heaps of traffic and in the end, the amount of hours put into a site will determine its success and most importantly (to most people) the sites revenue.
It is said that failure is the stepping stone for success. Detail the measures you had taken in internet marketing and what were your strengths and weaknesses. Suggest measures to surmount failures so that it would be useful for the future entrants and hope they won't repeat the mistakes. Good luck
The idea for the ebook is very good but I don't think you will find people that actually failed in internet marketing, maybe people that have failed using a certain method or that followed some wrong principles. What I want to say is that you can't fail just like that, if you do something and is not good than you will try something different and so on... and finally you will succeed.
I agree with you sourcer, if you have failed at one method, and you continue to test and try new techniques of marketing, you will most likely be successful. The only problem is that I think many people just quit after they have tried several things and not been successful. GameOver, would you like to contribute to the ebook? I will give you more information as soon as I am ready... it will be a completely free ebook, where you can promote yourself and your current business. - Jens
I don't really have the time to write a full chapter but I could give you the main points and then you could just expand on them. PM if you need any help. Thanks. I really like your idea.
Maybe I should actually do all the writing myself, and that it might be a lot easier to get people to give me the main points instead of trying to find apx. 30 people who have failed and have the time to write me a chapter? Thanks GameOver, I might be onto something here. What do you guys think? Should I just write down a few questions, let people answer them in a rather short way and give me the main points and then in the end I do all the writing? This way, I will have more control over the ebook as well - Jens
"Why I failed at Internet marketing" is an interesting topic but do you really know the causes of failure? I mean there could be hundreds of things you were doing wrong that landed you in the dumps. But anyway good luck. I would love to have contributed a chapter but at this stage I'm very new to marketing myself and haven't really succeeded or failed
Great idea, would provide a lot of knowledge and make sure people don't make the same mistakes as you
I agree with you maximillion, it might be difficult to know what caused the failure. But I am looking for what you did, and when you say that you have failed and I know what you did... well, that's really all I need to know. I am only looking for the stories of failure, and will show what people did that failed at Internet Marketing. If they failed because of one specific action or not is really not that important, I am interesting in the overall picture and the stories of failure. Thanks - Jens
There is no failure mate. You learned that weren't good enough. Just try harder. I'm getting better everyday
Well, my affiliate marketing story is very short. I started in September 2007 and finished to March 2008. I spent tons of my time plus 82 bucks. I stopped because it's a very bored legwork for me.
