Why I Don't Use Google Analytics...

In the past 2 months I set up a new amazon site and within the first 2 weeks I made 2 sales, and I've got some pretty good traffic to my site. Now my site was ranking within a couple of days and doing the Google dance and all but then it stuck at around the 2nd and 3rd spot depending on the time of day.

Now because I recently setup a new program to drive traffic to my site (Not buyers just traffic for the fun of traffic) My bounce rate is around %65-%75 really high for me and my rank is now somewhere between the 18th and 20th spot. And my sales came to a screeching hault!

At first I couldn't figure out what it was but then I read about someone having he same problem and when they took Google analytic off their site everything went back to normal!

So I decided to do the same and guess what? My site started to slowly rise to the top, And just to make sure that i really was the problem I tried it on one of my other sites and got the same results.

Now I'm not telling you not to use GA but if you think your going to have a high bounce rate then I certainly wouldn't recommend it.

Uhm interesting issue, the bounce % is a ranking factor indeed but it only seem to work when you use GA since Google can monitor it?

 

I don't think the bounce rate has anything to do with ranking UNLESS you have GA on your site. But since I've found this out I've instead opted to use a plug-in that does the same exact thing, there's a lot of them out there. And I don't feel it benefited my site in any way but maybe somebody else knows if it does or not. That's MY opinion..

It is said that Google Analytics will monitor our site. I am not sure about it. I met several guys said after they removed GA, they got a good rank

Thats interesting and one of the thing that can contribute to a high bounce rate is Google Adwords - sort of a contradiction. I would love to see an article on this

 

I am medical company in china, and I have paid for googld adwords for two years, and from the data for my dealing on google, it is much profitable than other bussiness platform .

 

Do Google use data from analytics for search ranking ?
