Why I don't use Adsense yet.

    1. I wish Adsense offered paypal.

Because I feel spooked when submitting social security numbers to an internet site especially when identity theft is on the high rise.

Like itendity stolen every 3 seconds.

    2. You have to watch your site all the time. If someone does an invalid click on the banner, how are you supposed to fix it when your gone at work all day long? Do they have a special protection program to prevent invalid clicks?

Understandable, but after all your submitting to one of the biggest companies in the world.

If your personal details got picked up it would probably be from a virus on your end on your computer, your correct to be careful.

Sometimes you just have to go for things, regarding watching your site too, just do all you can to protect yourself, thats all you can do.

Even if they offered Paypal, they would still need your SSN for tax reporting purposes.

I think you are stressing about the identity theft thing a little too much. Just because all the TV news stations are excited about it doesn't mean you have to hide under a barrel in your cellar.

I do not think that Google is a company who's security is going to be compromised any time soon.

I used to work in a large financial software company that you have probably heard of dealing with security issues.

This kind of comment cracks me up. People hear this statistic and freak out. What they don't seem to understand is it is the ones who are trying to go around the system instead of through it that are the victims.

When do you think your credit card information is more likely to be stolen:

    1. When you order something online
    2. When you call the company to place the order
    3. Faxing the order to the company

Would you rather your payment information be transmitted via secure SSL to a website and placed in a database that only high paid IT administrators have access to, or would you rather call the company and give your information to a minimum wage customer support person? In which scenario is your information more likely to be stolen? Clearly it is when you call the order in. Faxing is even worse because there is no assurance that the company will shread the document when they are finished with it instead of tossing it in the dumpster.

Rest assured Google has put LARGE security measures in place to keep your information from being stolen when you submit your AdSense application via the Internet.

i am pretty sure google has serious security protection... being one of the largest companies in the world... either way, if you've ever bought anything online before.. its like the same thing..

you have more chance getting identity theft swiping your creditcard/debit card at a corner store than anything else....

thats a pretty lame excuse IMO. if you can't trust google with your SSN, then you are not gonna be doing any business online. all the affiliate programs requires you to submit your tax ID

No one is forcing you to use AdSense. Since you don't feel as if it is the program for you due to some restrictions, find another company.
