Why i didn't recieve account conformation mail from Facebook?

    Today i created a Facebook account, i tried to conform my account through my gmail id but i didn't received any conformation mail from FB. I have been waiting for more than 2 hours bu i didn't. Can any one tell me, how to fix this issue? please help me
