Hi DP members, I do social bookmarking of my site on stumbleupon, digg, delicious, dropjack, reddit, diigo and many others. But, the real concern is that i am unable to see referral traffic from other social bookmarking site except stumbleupon. What should i do so that i can see referral traffic from other bookmarking sites. Thanks in advance for your suggestion.
Anna, There are hundreds of people bookmarking every minute and if a post only has 1 person who bookmarked it, it's probably getting lost in the directory as it will be showing posts that have hundreds of bookmarks at the top. It may be a better use of your time to go to a website like IMAutomator.com and automate your bookmarking. You can then spend your time on other traffic sources.
Social Bookmarking for SEO works well to create social links, but we have not seen any real traffic from this practice. It is good to do for rankings, not for traffic.
Personally, don't think you should automate any back links or bookmarking of any sort. Suspiciously quick link building will alert Google, and possibly harm your ranking. Keep doing what you're doing - just don't expect it to be the sole deliverer of traffic, and with Digg and SU build your following also, to get more people interested in what you are submitting.
I think you just not getting traffic from social bookmarks. Stumble Upon could bring some traffic if site is interesting but such like digg and reddit couldn't - all are only submitting sites to them but not surfing.
Make a huge network in bookmarking sites like digg, stumble upon, reddit . Surly you will find good results .
yes , i also get little traffics here , i think at the beginning you will not get the traffics . can u get others' eyes ? can u get more followers to follow u ? wow , this need some time !
I think when it comes to social bookmarking you can't just expect to see traffic right away. These bookmarking sites are very high traffic websites and there are thousands if not millions of links submitted daily. In Digg I never used to see any traffic, now I have about 67 followers and when I submit a new bookmark I usually see some ref traffic, my followers also tend to digg my links when I submit them and that gives my link more importance. Something else to consider is to build backlinks to your social bookmarking pages, this might or might not bring in ref traffic but it will up your social bookmarking page's page rank and that is seriously good for your SEO. Social bookmarking is the best technique for making our site more known and to get more backlinks and traffic. And as if you do not get traffic then might be check for your content and title. As put such which include words, most searched by people. And put description so interesting and meaningful. So that people like to know more information just by read the description and they visit your site.
Thanks for your reply. But, my question is that why i am unable to see traffic from other social bookmarking sites. I only see referral traffic from stumbleupon.com. Do you also experience the same why tracking the Analytics report. Do you have some idea to show clients more referral traffic from bookmarking sites?
Hello Anna, i think your website needs to be Worked out by Do-follow social bookmarking. Not doing in all social bookmarking sites create traffic it need to be done in a proper method as you know that there are different kind of SEO work also that will create high traffic for your website. If you are not satisfied with Social bookmarking and your think that you have tried everything in social bookmarking whether do-follow or no-follow so then you need to use other SEO services which create high traffic like forum posting, press release and article submission.
If you want to see more referral traffic from your social bookmarking pages you need to promote your Social Bookmarking accounts, build backlinks to them, get followers, comment on other peoples social bookmarks. I am afraid that this is the only way to get traffic from these links. You could try writing more catchy titles but most of all you need to get your Social accounts more popular, getting traffic from sites like these don't just happen.
with the using of social bookmarking we can get the links and rank, but we don't get traffic. for that you have to to social media optimization.
