Well said! It happened to our country also. Actually Bush has completely destroyed the image of USA and so sorry to say that most people of the world started to h*te the people of USA. Whatever they say, they’re not secured anywhere and experienced being attack. And the last update is, somebody thrown shoes targeting the face of Bush. This is a great insult for USA. By the way, I’m so sorry to say that truth and pls excuse me. Hope USA will survive again under the governance of Obama. Best wishes.

No, not really. How could anyone ever find shoes offensive? Really, I just don't get it. They are so useful and comfy, why would anyone want to depart with their shoes? In this case it was quite comical, but there's no shame in having shoes thrown at you. What's more of a disgrace is the guy managed to miss, he had two chances!?!

I surprised, you don’t find it offensive! By the way, I didn’t know that.

Well, I guess anything being thrown at someone is considered offensive. I do know that for some reason middle eastern and some asian countries find shoe throwing particularly insulting. Could you explain why this is?

Not if flowers are being thrown. Now Bush, he is immune to insults. May be it was an insult to shoe.

Few years ago someone threw a pie on Bill Gates' face, I find that insulting... What a waste of pie.

Kashmiries.. humm lets see. Just a few days back, majority of Kashmiries went out of their home, and voted to elect a Pro-American UPA ally National Conference. 60% voters turn out in election is a high figure. So it speaks for itself..

Sure, I’ll explain. You guess anything being thrown at someone is considered offensive. No it’s not. Hit by a shoe is never prouder than Death by a bullet. You may already have seen TV programs, doing fun throwing water or color to the people. It’s not offensive. But I don’t support throwing shoes for insulting. But I can explain...actually it takes a little bit time to open shirt, trouser or und..w.ar and they are not flexible enough to throw in long distances. On the other hand they found shoe perfect and it always stays under the feet. Like a flying kiss, it can be use as a flying kick.

I don't see any correlation between being hit with a shoe and dying by a bullet? What is it with people being willing to die these days, are you that weak that you can't get something done without dying? Ok I understand that it's easier to take shoes off than other garments, that's obvious in itself.

I somewhat understand your idea of the "flying kick" but it just doesn't make any sense, wouldn't you rather ACTUALLY kick someone than try and throw a shoe at them? Why would you want to throw your shoes away, you only end up battering your feet on the way home.

It’s unwise to find correlation between throwing shoe and bullet hit or shame and pride. You questioned “How could anyone ever find shoes offensive?” so it’s your matter that you also don’t find it offensive hit by shoe. Don’t think people willing to die these days are that weak. Situation demands. It’s better to face the bullets of the oppressors than being a slave of them. And read my previous post properly, I’m against throwing shoes. Hand, feet, shoes, home are someone’s property and they know well how to use them properly. What is offense and what is pride the world has already known even those who are unfamiliar with something.
