Why Hotmail Sucks: Save yourself, don't EVER use that hellish deservice

Hotmail has become one of the most dangerous services in the web.

They just lost All my data that I had in my account!

Although I had my account set up to log in automatically, it didn't do that.

It said I had tried too many times to log into my account and logged me out. Then they blocked my account.

I tried latter to long in again, same problem.

Their service is useless and dangerous, don't ever use it.

 

How does that make it dangerous? It sounds like you're over-reacting to an issue that you probably caused yourself.

 

Hm, dangerous is a harsh word. I'm thinking your situation was a 1 in a million kind of thing. I don't know, just saying...

I had a hotmail before, but never use it. I love gmail with its effective spam filter.

 

OP, what specifically happened to it? Sure, I'm not the biggest fan of Hotmail...

 

I think its a mistake from your part..Though i use Gmail ,I don't think this would happen with Microsoft and i can't imagine of loosing all my emails..

 

yeah the hotmail service is not getting any better with their spam filters and phishing scams filters not working. I am getting tons and tons of spam mails and they don't have anyway to deal with that.

 

Maybe it was someone you know trying to log into your account. And if everything is really gone (which you wouldn't know unless you logged in) maybe they succeeded and deleted everything.

I love Hotmail, at least all my important mail isn't marked off as spam like Google.

Is that what you got? Well I do log into my email about 50 times a day. Mostly to delete to spam. I get about 100 spams a day, stupid spammer idiots.

 

Free is never the way to go. Specially with somethign important and confidential like e-mail.

 

Hotmail does suck. I used it from about 2001-2002 and already I was sick of it. I didn't like the login screen and how it keeps taking such a long time to load. Most of my emails were spam, even though I just started that account. Go with yahoo, its much faster and much better

They will probably unlock your account if you contact them. Besides, it sounds like these were all strict security measures...shouldn't that make you feel safe? Someone may have been logging into your account, or trying to, themselves, and now it's locked.

Anyway, I am not a fan of Hotmail because of the layout and Spam, but I wouldn't call them 'dangerous'.

 

New Hotmail is extremely fast loading now.

 

The new hotmail is definitely a great improvement on the speed

 

Its not that big issue as you are making it.
but still i never had a Hotmail account, probably wont ever in future as well.

 

I don't have a problem with hotmail, i have used it for years. It sounds like what happened to you can happen at any email client. Just a bit of bad luck but i wouldn't call it dangerous!
