Why Hostgator prices are too high?

As far as I see Hostgator services are very expensive but I don’t understand why? How can their high prices be explained? What competitive advantages does this company possess comparing with other hosting providers?

 

They have good support , quality hosting all at the best

 

Aren't the prices of HostGator, BlueHost, DreamHost and HostMonster the same?

 

I am guessing they got into trouble overselling to make a profit and it hurt their corporate image, now they figure they are better off having mid-way prices but not overselling as much. All those places that offer dirt-cheap hosting prices can not support real websites that have real traffic.

 

They are ok considering thier servers are powerful

expensive? That is crazy. I have dedicated servers and shared hosting with them and I am very pleased by the price. Also, their support it top-notch! Very responsive for sure.

 

Their prices are reasonable also they have been having 20% coupons for a long time now which brings down the price even more.

 

yes actually they went from about 22 servers to a full blown upgrade to having them at theplanet and have worked out a deal with them (old news). but with any company in any business depending on the product you start out low and build trust and learn from your mistakes and simplify your process and raise prices and hope to stay at that level of sales or with higher prices you get better customers.

 

Their hosting packages could be a bit more better, but the support offered is excellent. Don't know, why HostGator needs to purchase servers from The Planet.

 

You have seen what you get for the amount right? And you consider it expensive?

 

im actually in the process of trying to obtain 6 bucks and try my luck loool. Hostmonster is very nice especially with the cpanel. Its so easy to do everything and easy to install phpbb nuke ect along with a ftp in less then 10 minutes. Also go to their home page and they have a demo :O .

Yes, their prices are almost the same and too expensive! It looks like their servers are made from gold! I suggest it is too expensive for me! I have found a lot of companies which provide almost the same quality and services at lower prices, so actually I can't understand what the difference and why I need to pay more?

 

Dedicated servers are dedicated servers, shared servers are shared servers, it is clear! But, just take a look at their Hatchling package its price is $9 per month and they allow to host 1 domain only! Only 1 domain hosted for $9 per month!

The costs to manage and monitor servers and the servers them selfs, the cost for server techs and sales is not cheap, their prices are very reasonable if you ask me.
