Hi I have a site which I'm trying to move away from the adult theme but in doing so my traffic has reduced hugely. It might be becasue of the way I tried to introduce the change. Please have a look and let me know what you think. The site is www.theviolas.com It used to be just the vBulletin forum which is still there via the link at the top right. However I introduced the front static splash page and it seems to have killed the traffic. I want to change the forum to a music oriented content but am concerned that the changes I've made have wrecked my rankings already and if I change more might lose it completely. Do you think its worth changing the theme or should I revert back to the forum being on the landing page and start something new for the music site? Paul
The splash page is necessary to protect under aged visitors but you should try to make it more user friendly.
Thanks everyone for your input I was thinking of changing the header to something less explicit so that I could drop the splash page and add the underage warning to the landing page of the forum itself but I agree with you kingofsana I think its necessary to protect children. This is how it used to be before I bought the site. I will update the splash to make it more user friendly, I'd appreciate your input again when I've done it this weekend please. Paul
I've updated the site please let me know you find it easier, I'm not sure the enter here sign is big enough becasue of the way I have fitted it in the template I used
now they can find it easily... just I suggest using some alittle less for the enter picture... as new members don't know it's not safe for work >.<
