Why has my weight been dropping so drastically?

My weight value has been dropping quite a lot since I joined (about a month ago).

When I first joined, my weight was 9k+, but now it's barely 2k. Has anyone else been experiencing this?

As far as I know, my site has remained the same in popularity, in terms of PR. Is there something that I might be unknowingly doing to cause this? If so, how can I boost my weight back up? :D

    Thanks.

I'm seeing the same trouble, and when I check my pages indexed on DP's own keyword tracker tool, pages in URL has gone up in the last month. (and no, my PR has stayed the same)

Yet my co-op weight has gone to next to nothing! (9K to 4K to under 1K)

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE the co-op, but this is causing me to lose my key positions...

    Can anyone offer any suggestions?

Unfortunately, just having pages in the index doesn't cream the cheese. You might consider checking to see if the pages are supplemental, and whether they actually have descriptions.

Many directories (for example) end up this way rather quickly because of duplicate content.

PS: Do keep in mind there is zero similarity between G proper and it's API. It's API will give you different results, so you might consider using a tool that allows you to check these things via the API.

    Cheers,

    JL
