Hi all, I have a website which has been getting between 30-90 visitors per day for the past 4+ months. I changed the menu on the site about 2 days ago and added an adsense unit but ever since my site has recorded 0 visitors in two days. I have checked the awstats in the cpanel and it just says 0 - Does anyone have any idea why this might be? The website is a Student advice, employment and student finance website - (The link is there) Please let me know if you know what might be going on. Thanks, Nick.
Were you tracking the traffic? A good tracker would tell you where the traffic was going from. ie: Google 80% Yahoo %18 MSN 2% (lol msn). So if you were getting alot of traffic from a SE or a reffer and it just stoped you would be able to see that traffic from that source is gone. Next step would be to find out why. Violations, redirects, who knows... Good Luck
It was actually mainly from type ins as far as I can see, very little from SE traffic. I used to have a forum with several thousand posts and suddely I started getting 100's of ppl coming to it per day...but I have no idea from. However that quickly disappeared when I messed up the coding and had to install a new forum. I will install google tracker on the site and see if that can tell me anything...I only use the awstats in the cpanel at the moment.
