Hi everyone, Just in the last day or two it seems that my site, Future Conscience, has disappeared from the Google searches that it was previously ranking for. When I search 'site:www.futureconscience.com' there are heaps of pages indexed. However, a simple search for 'Future Conscience' no long brings up the site at #1 the way it used to just a few days ago... Any thoughts on why this might have happened? I have been playing around with sitemaps and some SEO plugins, so maybe I was penalised for entering some wrong information and having duplicate content or too many keywords? That's all that I can think of. More importantly, will this be quickly reversed?
Because your site is new. It's common for new sites to initially rank well and then fall out of the rankings. Sometimes it takes 6 - 12 months to come back. Just continue to build quality backlinks.
Your site is new ,and it takes some time that google indexes a new site ,you must build good backlins so that the Google Bot can find you faster and can index you to google
Keep in mind there is a Google update in the pipeline too, this will cause havoc with the search results until the new algo's bed in.
Ah ok, thanks Miguel. Here's hoping that the new update is the issue, because it seems strange that the site would just drop out altogether after a month. I'll give it a few more days before I start to worry too much then!
I've also tried resubmitting my site through Google Webmaster Tools - just in case they have penalised it for some reason. I noticed just yesterday that a SEO plugin I was using was duplicating some meta tag content and also dynamically creating meta keywords. So maybe this duplicate meta content caused some problems? Also noticed that the site map was logging duplicate content from categories, tags and archives...so I've fixed that too. Hopefully if this is the issue, and not the Caffeine update, it can be reversed sooner rather than later!! Anybody else had experience with resubmitting a site? Did it work?
Hello, If your site is new, it will be like a yoyo, be ok on google take time, keep working in backlinks, adding content, and time, time and time.. Best, Jakomo
http://www.google.com/search?&q=allinurl:www.futureconscience.com/+site:www.futureconscience.com - you've got more than 200 pages indexed - this is good http://siteexplorer.search.yahoo.com/search?p=http://www.futureconscience.com&bwm=i&bwmo=s&bwmf=s - only 78 backlinks -not much and almost all of them from the same sites - digitalpoint, technorati etc.
same thing just happened to me! Was ranking very well for over a year. And bam beginning of the month my whole site dissappeared.
give some time to google rank your website, meanwhile continue to build your backlinks such as submitting articles and link exchange
keep on update your site and build more high quality backlinks, your site will appeared at the first page on the google.
Your site has not 'disappeared' from google searches - it is just that it has fallen in rankings, mostly because google initially assigns high ranking for some new sites while it tries to determine how quality content you have and where it would fit. If you continue posting your content and using tools like traffic bug to promote backlinks then probably your position will rebound soon.
the linkbacks are not constant and they keep disappearing. So, you need to constantly work on your site's SEO. In order to give your site a boost in getting indexed by google, submit your site to the top 100 social directories.
