Why has my PR not gone up???

    one of my sites had a PR of 3, had a couple of PR3 and a PR4 I think, links in to it

    now i have a lot more - a couple of PR5 and a PR6 inlcluding the ODP.


    but the PR has not gone up!!!
    Surely it should have?

    How many other links are on the PR5 and PR6 pages that link to you? PageRank is split between all links on those pages.

    When did you get those PR5 and PR6 links. I am seeing that most of the backlinks showing up for this update were before May. I had many more backlinks that I got in May but they have not shown up yet. I think backlinks that are showing up now are from about 1 month ago.

    what PR are you at?

    it's most likely either

    1) if you have a high-ish PR to start with, it just wasn't enough to bump you to the next level

    or

    2) you just haven't waited long enough. sometimes PR updates can take a while.

    Usually takes 2 PR updates for all backlinks to show.
    So be patient. Next PR update they should be there.
