Yuppp... they say it can boost PR more. And usually .edu have high PR. But in the fact, i don't know whether .edu with PR 1 is more valuable than .com PR1.
Cuz they think .edu or .org have more weight value than .com but i think have checked and see that most of them are just nofollow which has no any value to us at all.
Edu links have some value but not the burried links personally I would not bother with acquire links this way as google prefers natural links from your content.
yes, you means content relevant link is strong and .edu or .gov links not good to any other content site. It means content links not strong than .edu or .gov links. you suggest exchange education links with any website.
