I'm a bit curious to what they're doing right now (google). One of my sites is so unstable. this month it is on the page one for the keyword that chose but last month it's on the end of the stick. Why is it happening? Just wanted some ideas. Thanks.
They wanted to give more power to original content. And they managed to crush some big sites with this change.
Ok. thanks. I do hope that my site will get stuck in page 1 again. At least for months. I'm a bit nervous though if that's going to happen. Google is really unpredictable.
The sites that were dropped were basically crappy sites. Those sites just sucked in the eyes of Google. They have outdated content, copied content, content of no value, crappy backlinks, old html, crappy coding and so-on. Update your site, get rid of old non-value content, get with today's plugins or html... So many things go into what this "Panda" update was all about... I personally think it came down to "Your site is a POS in Google's eyes and has no value to a searcher or reader"...LMAO!
Google has updated this algorithm to drop sites with duplicate contents. Sites with Fresh and unique content will get a good ranking. If you want to improve your ranking just update your site with rich and fresh content.
Well, if you have a crap site, why should you be listed on Google search? Obviously there's a lot of things that dropped a lot of sites - anyways, why do you care? Did you lose your rankings?
I dunno what the panda algorithm is, but I did notice recently that a spam site ranking above mine isn't there anymore. I don't mind an actual honest website outranking me, all's fair, but a worthless garbage website? That just irks me. Good riddance.
Is there really an efficient way or ways to recover to this kind of phenomenon? I mean a method which can definitely bring your site back into google page 1. Just like to hear some comments to those who experienced it and made a comeback.
You might want to start a separate thread for this... Would be interesting to find out if anyone has accomplished this feet, but I doubt it... It's too early really.
Thanks to your idea! I already did, I opened a new thread but you are right it is too early. But I'm really confuse to what's happening and just wanted to know new techniques to carefully raise a site and to become stable to page 1 for the keyword that i'll choose.
I think no one will really know until it is done. In my eyes the after effects are still being worked out by Google. It seems the deep crawl may be finished and more changes are coming in the next few weeks.
Over time it will continue to grow harder to game the system. They've nothing to gain by keeping it easier. The reason Google is so popular to start with is they provide the most accurate results for a given search. If they lose that then we all lose the reason why we care so much about all this.
