Why Google Shows it's Own Directories Result in SERP?

Hello all,
Today i was searching in Google with one of keyword and,
I had found that there are Google Directory listing too in SERP's.
I really don't understand why, Google shows it's own listing.
In first 3 pages i found Google directory listing for two times,
1st on 10th pos. and 2nd on 21st pos.

Yes you are right,
It'll make competition bit harder.

 

They rarely show their own directory threads when a serious high-volume is searched for

 

But how much Big G is doing right?
It let the competition too high.

 

anyway google also want more traffic, more business...

 

Cuz they also have right to optimize there website ..

I think google deserve to show some of its own pages too in its own search engine

Google is SE and it should give first priority to Websites rather than directory.
And now Big G itself jumps on SERP, than what will happen?
It's look like simple but serious matter too, DPking.

 

i notice books.google.co.uk results are also coming in google.co.uk. So may be comeptition is going hard and hard.
