Why Google shows different result for the same search in different computers?

    Dear friends,
I know some of you may think that I'm spamming with this thread, but I really need help. There are many ways for me to get back link, I don't need to stupidly spam by this direct way. The fact is that I'm trying to help pitguru.com rank with the key: futures trading. From yesterday, I was happily to recognize that it rank in the first page in Google with the key. But today, my partner searched it and saw the site in page 3 with that key. In my computer, the result didn't change. So, I asked for help. Among of around 6 computers, there is only one which shows that Pitguru in page 1. So, in the end I don't know which ones are correct. I really need an exact result in order to arrange time for other projects. Do you know the reasons why there are differences, and please kindly suggest me way or tool to check for the right result. Thanks for you help!

For the "correct results" try out scroogle.com
There are many reasons why the result is different and one is that they may be connected to any of the different google datacenters. Another reason may be that google customizes your searches according to your preferences which is something you can disable from the settings. Another "stupid" reason I can think of is that you are logged in to your email which also customizes the results.

Don't think much about it. Google has different Data Centers where people are searching. That means every minute, one's rankings can be change from time to time.

Google shows different result for the same search in different computers?

This is due to customization search which is automatically enabled in all computer browsers , if you often try to visit your site ,that site will display in first position and not in other computer ,
so to get the correct result you must turn off the customization from settings

Google itself revealed that, they are placing users in two different algorithms when performing searches. One is the normal or “control” algorithm and the other is the “test”. If a user gets different results than normal the chances are he/she just got to experience the test algorithm. I was sharing this news with a friend who asked me days earlier why he got different results in Google from time to time. So I called him back and explained what he might be experiencing. He responded, “What? You mean they are intentionally skewing the results? That’s not fun.” And I have to admit for a split second I agreed with him.

Then I realized as an SEO what Google was potentially offering me, a behind the scenes look at what the engineers are testing. Now I realize this is just a test algorithm which means there is no guarantee that the changes will be made. Not to mention this same articles tells us that Google is planning 550 changes this year. But the fact remain, we are being given a chance to see what is being tested. So how can you use this to your advantage? The next time you notice Google providing some different search results ask yourself these questions:

•How are these results different from the usual?
•Are these results better than what I normally find? If so how?
•Would these new alerts benefit my clients? What challenges would they present?

I think there are different results because of the time - try to check the results simultaneously on both computers and see what will happen. To my mind, the less is time period between two checks - the more similar are the results.

Here is possible reasons. :) I would recommend you check them out first.

    1. Personalized Search - Check to see if your friend has currently logged in with some of Google services or not. If yes, this is a cause.
    2. Different Google datacenters - Your friends result might pull from some currently rolling Google DC while yours might be pulled from common Google DC.
    3. Different Google country - Check to see if both of you use Google.com in english. If your friend is not a technical geek and never done any setting, most of Google default will use their local ones. Example - You both are in India. If your friend type "google.com" then it would be redirected to "google.co.in" automatically. This auto redirect will be disappeared after your friend chose "Google.com in English" at least once.

Use CCleaner to clear your cookies.
Make sure you are not logged into you google account or gmail.
Check you search preference settings to make sure they are not filtered.

I checked searches from 2 different computers and they are all the same.

Google customize results on the basis of previous user preference. They might be using some old cookie to show preferred results.

Becouse many people use google.bg/google.it/google.co.uk/google.jp etc instead of google.com and it depends on the time the search was taken and if the Searcher has Personal Settings turned ON!

Exactly its all about the Google datacenters where the data is getting pulled from.
