There has been much made of the announcement that Google will now display Twitter feeds against certain search results that are returned but my personal view is why? The internet is already clogged up with rubbish and whilst everyone raves about Twitter I find it a complete waste of time and has over inflated sense of self importance. We are obessed with writing rubbish and do i want to know what someone is having for breakfast? No Twitter has basically dumbed down the internet and in my opinion Google should instead be looking to promote well written content rather than short, useless tweets that reveal nothing worth knowing. I think the only reason Google have introduced it is because they will soon be forced be news corporations is stopped listing unlimited news feeds, which are undermining profits for these corporations and so they have opted for Twitter as a replacement for the future. Please Google stop hosting rubbish feeds from twitter
