Actually the thing is, Where most of the people are mistaken, PR is not at all a factor of any site's ranking in SERP.
its rather an outcome of your linking scheme.
so depended on your linking scheme it may or may not related with your SERP.

 

Can't we close this thread ? I think it's the 2000th pagerank is nothing thread.

Ahh my friend had thou read back a bit you would see that I do not feel PR is a thing of much value.

As you can see by my quoting myself.... I think there is far too much time put toward the subject of PR......and at times I think I may put too much time into argiung about putting too much into PR....but that's another thread altogether


I also agree anchor text links have tha best value for helping to rank in the upper pages of Google. Never said otherwise on this point.

But in all honesty they had internal Google PR (along with proper SEO steps) which is why they ranked well.
