why google keyword tool is not accurate?

i`m ranked on the 2-3 results for a term that has exact search of 40,000 a month but still i get only 1,000 unique visitors per a month from that keywords. how is it possible? and it`s not a seasonal keyword like halloween.

i really think that google keyword tool is not accurate as it happen to few of my sites....

 

Big mistake to rely only on the keyword tool. What you should do next time is to take a deep look on how the first results are doing on the web. Alexa can help.

 

Not only Google keywords Tool but you should not rely too much on every keywords tool. Most of them are estimated and can be used only for illustrate purpose. Even Google pull data from its own datacenters but do not expect they would give this value information for accurately.

 

yes this is true all the Keyword tool are working on estimation. This estimation not is not accurate many factors works behind the tracking keyword traffic.

 

Same problem facing so I do not use keyword tool.
