I just noticed Google just changed the way to see cached page. I used to type "cache:domain.com" directly in Google search to see the cached one. However, I cannot type them directly for now because it will lead you to 404 Not Found error. The only way I can see the cached page is type domain name or url directly in Gooogle search and clicked on "cached" instead. 1. Why do they have to changed? 2. Is there any replacement command I can type to see cache page directly from Google?
It is tough to see the cache when there are so many different datacenters. I think it is unreliable, but because it is supposed to be. Google isn't going to keep a cache of every single page out there. But also, why the heck are people even using this? From my experience I have seen sites drop from serps after it is not found using the cache: command.
I almost freaked out when I use the function two days ago when I was checking for cached page using my google toolbar. I was so worried because I thought that the site totally disappears from search engine. As usual, I think that they are working on some upgrades or something.
On the new google toolbar (updated a few days ago) it does not work for me in Firefox, but it does work in IE.
good i hate people like you that snoop around my cached pages trying to steal SEO info... Stay off of other people sites and worry about your own, and youll get more accomplished.
I guess google is making some major changes in their algo and as a result of that, they seem to have first removed the cached pages tool. As many of the people may use it to their benefit to check and learn about the SEO strategies of their competitors or high ranking sites.
I donno what you are experiencing, but when I search in google for cache:url, it's leading me straight into the cached page.
I had more problem i ve found. My site being no cache and no home page is being indexed (deindex).. It is need more time to get index.
Yes now it shows some errors. I found this 3 days ago. I think they are adding new algo, may be caffeine
I also found the same problem in toolbar. I am not able to see cache from google toolbar. I uninstall the toolbar and install again, but the problem not resolved.
It is working just fine for me. Take a look: http://74.125.153.132/search?hl=en&source=hp&q=cache:npxp.com&aq=f&aqi=g3g-s1g6&aql=&oq=&gs_rfai=
Don't be naive buddy. I do never cared your sites or other people site but my own site anyway. I have to check my own cached page for personal reasons. I do welcome your reply even I thought it was a little bit negative attitude somehow.
