    I don't think thank browsers really affect ones search results.
    It may be a result of your search history and cookies.

    browser do not effect on your keyword position so both are trsted and while you checking keywrd do not login in gmail account otherwise you will get wrong result

    There is a possibility that Google provides a "slight" difference on search engine results based on browser type. Remember that Firefox's default search engine is Google.

    I think it caused your default google geographic, maybe your IE and your firefox is have different country google setting....
