Do you use a sitemap? Using a sitemap and getting strong backlinks always helps to get indexed.

Use Google's Web Master Tools to find any reasons why your site is not being properly indexed. If everything is ok, perhaps you need to work a bit more on submission to search engines and building backlinks.

Post the homepage link as your signature, if you haven't done so already.

First check your robots.txt file if you are bocking the indexing of your home page in any way, then submit a sitemap to google via google webmaster tools. In the sitemap, make sure you have mentioned the home page. That way you can possibly get indexed soon.

I think there was same thread some months back. The thread owner was also complaining about the same thing. Indexing of all pages except home page is really different thing and there can be any reason behind this. Maybe contents are not that good or you are giving links to some illegal websites. Still no one is sure about it...
