Hello, My site has 2561 pages and Google has indexed 2498! I do not understand why ... But I have a Sitemap file that I sent to Google which includes 2561 well my site url. (In my opignon) Among the non-indexed pages there are more important than some who are yet indexed. How Google decides to index a page or not? Thank you in advance for your answers. Best regards.
If there is backlinks linking to that page, or any traffic. Also your robots.txt might be blocking google from indexing those pages.
Google usually leaves a few webpages unindexed. You have 98% indexed, which is pretty good. I have some sites that barely pass 60% indexed. I wouldn't worry about the remaining 2%. They will catch on as soon as more backlinks are pointing to them
Google always ignore my sitemap, 0% indexed. I think it more like discover pages by itself. What a tragedy.
Yeah don't worry about it. If you keep adding new stuff google will eventually get to them. It is only a few pages like someone else said too
Try signing up for their Webmaster Central program. Maybe it could help those couple hundred that haven't been indexed? Yugo,
Your very lucky. Normal is less than half of a sites pages getting indexed. Ive noticed the webtools is sometimes wrong also for a count on indedxed pages.
Maybe google find that the indexed pages have similiar pages between the indexed page, so it don't index them because in google search result, it will only show one page from your website, not two. So google think that indexing a page that will never ( for any keyword) have chance to be shown in search results because another page will be shown That's what I think, the more your pages are so so similiar, the less pages will be indexed. In the extrimity, copy one page 20 times, only one will be indexed
