Why Google diminishes web pages instead of regular updating!!!

    I have site and in blogger i m regularly updating the blogs, before week the total web-pages for my site was around 370 but inspite of daily updating blog it now only shows total of 320 pages ...
    Any one can help me out from this problem. :mad:

    Blogger is owned by google I don't see a need for a sitemap for something as simple as a blog?

    get backlinks. Maybe some of the pages are considered duplicate, maybe some of the pages listed were plain old comment pages etc. Why are you worrying? Surely you know that google updates on a rolling basis and that you might well be showing 320 on one datacentre and 376 on others. I would get on with writing more copy and chill out I really would.

    old welsh guy thanks for replying me
    it was showing different result from the sitemap page then direct checking for the site( no of web pages). It shows 376 when i check from sitemap url and it shows 320 for direct query of site: ... in google tool box ..!!!!!!! so i m not understandig this thing, if u know then please help me out as i m new to these things

    The number of pages G says it returns is an *estimate*. Don't get your panties in a bunch if the number is not exactly the same every time you check. If you want more pages indexed, get more powerful backlinks pointing to your blog/site. You should be concerned about traffic to your site, not how many pages Google says it has in their index. As OWG said, chill out a bit.

    Today it furter reduces from 320 to 310, if anyone know what is happening tell me ...

    I use that tool and it shows 356 indexed pages, not 376 or less than 320 so now i m more consused with this
