Why google change favicon.ico?

I don't like it at all. Sounds like amteurish

 

it has no personality... my opinion

 

Rotate a bit, infinity (∞), represents their "Goooooogle" thing.

Like somebody said before, I'm really surprised people care about it, a favicon change won't make a difference.

 

The new favicon is soooo ugly and I can't imagine I was using Google when I looked at that favicon.

 

Bring back the old favicon!

 

this thread is the reason i visited today. I wanted to visit when i saw it a few days ago but never got the chance. Now i Came to confirm my hatered

 

Old one was much better. All the employees working for Google have to do something

I'm a little surprised that anyone would be surprised that people are so picky

 

It looks good for me, actually it doesn't even bother me also. What important is google must place my site and blogs in first position in all my keywords.

Are you guys really getting your panties in a bunch over a lower case g vs. a capital G? geez. No one made this much fuss when AT&T changed to at&t from old school to the NEW at&t.

 

Yeh i think the previous icon was much better, i hope they make the switch back.

 

But Google is the second most popular website on the internet, AT&T isn't.

I have to look at Google's favicon hundreds of times a day, and the new favicon is ugly. I have to look at the ugly favicon hundreds of times a day!!!

 

I think Google have something in mind for change favicon icon to g, the capital G is well known

 

google dos'nt care when you change your icon,,, then why you are wasting your time..

 

I prefer old icon, but it is not the end of the world

 

I liked the old one better.

 

I like the new one. It was indeed a time for a change. I think it would be better if it was blue rather than purple IMO. It has more of a Web 2.0 feel to it.
