I have joined google adsense two months ago for my blog in India and i got 10 clicks but i made just $0.94. Google says about high payout rates but its very low in India. So why ?
And Indian traffic isn't very valued and advertisers don't want to pay large sums for traffic from this region
Consider going wide - target the demographics where the cpc is high. Generate content that is driven by the audience as opposed to going local. Just get another website, and start with carefully choosing your domain name.
If you can get traffic from countries more valuable to advertisers also your clicks value will increase drastically. If the blog for his content and language is made only for people from India then you could gain more trying to find some local advertiser.
Wow! If in doubt blame us! As an adwords advertiser then why should I pay more per click just because you think I should???? DO YOU THINK I OWE YOU A LIVING???????? You want $4 a click when I only want to pay 13c? Why should I pay $4 just to line your pockets with money??? The price I pay is what it is, get used to it or go play in heavy traffic! (And I'm not talking about visitors! more like HGV's!!!)
Few advertisers = low competition. Adwords will get the lowest possible cpc for that keyword if there are no advertiser.
Hi Gaurav, It totally depends on the niche. I have even got like $4 on a single click mostly niche related to insurance, making money get more rates than tech or blogging related stuff.
$0.94 for 10 clicks is not low! It's pure business. As an publisher from India, your website getting traffic will show relevant ads. This means Indian business will show ads. Depending upon your niche, INR 10 per click is good amount in India to spend on CPC marketing. On an average, out of 100 clicks, only 1 buys my product. That's INR 1,000 cost of advertising per unit of product sold!
For this the main reason is The loss rupee value against dollar And if you get clicks from Asian countries the CPC rates is low and if you get clicks from UK, US etc. the CPC rates are high. And also this depends on the keywords that you give to your blog niche.
Do Indians tend to not spend money? Ultimately that's what advertising is about normally (to make more money from the people clicking the ads than it costs to run the ads).
I think its because Indians not spending much money when clicking the ads so there is very love conversation rate.
